Hi there,

Could anyone suggest some useful tools for analysis of the organisational culture? Focussed on values, norms, rules and so on, rather than on nationalities. What is nowdays used by HR professionals as a preliminary research prior to managing cultural change? I will be grateful for any thoughts on the topic.

Dear Peter,

To analyze the organizational culture, you must first keep in mind your organization's structure. If your organization uses a top-down approach in decision making or policy making, then obviously the top management will have total influence on organizational culture. Their norms and values will define the organizational culture.

You may also design a small performa, asking your colleagues about their thoughts of organization's values, norms, policies and come up with a summary of all.
