Hi Deb: After tiring of law practice, I studied Law, Policy and Society at Northeastern for my PhD. I was fascinated by the question of why companies were adopting policies prohibiting discrimination against transgender people when these companies rarely had transgender workers and there were few laws on the subject. (This was back in 2001.) I wrote my dissertation on the subject, and here I am!
